Clifford wandered into a volunteer's yard a couple of years ago, he had a microchip but after much research, we found out that his original owner moved to India. Eventually we found out that Clifford had somehow ended up at her neighbor's house, but he didn't want him back. "Wow", the foster Mom thought, "who is going to want an eight year old, 70# dog?" so she didn't rush to put him on-line figuring he would end up as another "foever foster dog". Clifford loved human companionship and his foster Mom realized she should put him on-line, but didn't think anyone would ever inquire about him. Well, along came Laura...she was finally ready to look for a companion and she saw Clifford on our website. She said, "I fell in love with him the minute I saw his smiling face". Clifford is now happily living in his forever home. Here is an update from his new Mom, Laura:
"Everyone loved him. He was friendly and nice to everyone. One of my friends has a 4 year old and the little girl (Lilah) was quite taken with him. Clifford took a lot of interest in a couple of squirrels along the way. He perked right up at the aspect of maybe chasing one. Really excited about it. :D We are having some down time now and he finds it a little too exciting and is having trouble deciding if he is really going to be staying here and letting himself relax. I expect once he realizes that I am the one feeding him, he'll feel safe and realize he has a new home. I love him and know he's going to be a real companion to me. Thanks and I'll be letting you know how he gets along...."
Laura says Clifford is still doing great:
"I love him and I knew you would have to be missing him. I didn't know he liked to fetch until yesterday. We played alot. I took him on a long walk before I left for work today. Yesterday was the first attempt at seeing how he did being left in the house alone....he did great. He was so happy when we got back, he came running to the door with a ball in his mouth!. He slept on the end of my bed last night. He is adorable!! Thanks so much for a perfect, perfect companion."

JORDAN
Poor Jordan! She needs a foster home or forever home. Jordan was adopted from AAR when she was a baby in 2007. We did the proper rigid screening as usual and our contract requires people to return the dog to us if they can't keep it anymore, but something went horribly awry. I got a call from Fulton County Animal Control that a dog was there with an AAR microchip! Village Vets traced the chip to Jordan (she and her 5 siblings were my foster babies). I tried everything to track down the owner, ran a people search-all numbers were disconnected. Found the original owner on FB (unusual spelling and only one name came up). I know it was her, but she said it wasn't. Now Jordan is HW+ and a little thin.
Jordan is fine, although she still stalks the cat. She came through her heartworm treatment just fine and is staying calm, even though I can tell she yearns to burst out the back door and chase the squirrels. She's a sweetheart.

WOLFGANG
Who could resist this face? One of out volunteers was at Animal Control and sent me Wolfgang's picture knowing full well that I would fall in love. Wolfgang is a 39# shortstack of adorable fluff. He is just as sweet as he can be and what a charmer.

He is getting along great with our other 2 dogs. In fact, Wolfie and our 10 month Keeshond play together all the time, right from the start. They even like to sleep right next to each other–it’s very cute. He is one of the most sweetest and gentle natured little pups I have ever known. He is a cherished addition to our family and I couldn’t ask for a pup with a better personality.
