MILLIE

Well "Billie" as she is called now, is doing fine. She is a happy member of our ever expanding family. We re-named her Billie after jazz singer Billie Holiday, as we have a jazz theme with our animal's names....plus it's real close to "Millie" so she wouldn't get too confused!

She is an excellent companion for our other rescue dog, Coltrane. He's 12, and he has really taken to her. Even though Coltrane wasn't really sure what to make of her at first, they are inseparable now. Since her arrival he is so much more active (not that he has a choice as Billie is an absolute dynamo!) We moved to Decatur last August  she has a MUCH bigger yard in which to run  terrorize the local squirrel population,  a huge deck to take sunbaths on. Sometimes she won't even come inside. My wife and I also had a baby back in January  the only problem we have is trying to get Billie to stop licking him! She is so fascinated with him and is very gentle when he reaches out to touch her-which seems to be his new favorite thing.
We can't imagine our lives without Billie!
